Our Resale Boutiques are essential to the function of Foothills Animal Rescue. Collectively, they bring in half of annual revenue top cover operating expenses. What better way to support FAR and find some hidden treasures for yourself or loved ones!

Our Carefree store is located at 7202 E Ho Rd, Suite C, Carefree AZ 85377

Hours: Tues-Sat 10am-5pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Process and sort incoming donated items
• Price items in alliance with training and pricing guidelines provided (if ever unsure how an item should be priced, set aside or consult a manager)
• Check each item to ensure that it is suitable for sale in the store. Ensure that items to be sold are clean and in good condition. Make decisions about what items should be sold or passed on.
• Service all customers with dignity and respect, assist costumers in finding desired items and answering questions
• Maintain the boutique's physical appearance which may include some clean up of spills or broken items, dusting and cleaning shelves, putting misplaced items back on the right shelves, decorating for holidays or other special events
• Have the ability to understand, remember and follow instructions and procedures; and the ability to ask questions when appropriate

Qualifications:

• Has attended a New Volunteer Orientation, Boutique Orientation and one shadow shift
• Ability to accept supervision and direction from staff
• Reliability in attending scheduled shifts, or notifying supervisors in advance if unavailable or sick
• Positive and upbeat attitude

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time
• Occasionally may be required to lift 10-25 lbs at a time, reasonable accommodations may be made
• Conversational noise level indicative of a retail store environment
• Temperatures can reach high levels in the summer and some boutique activities require standing and/or working outside or in garage
