Who We Are

Help FAR get some public exposure!

 

Our events program includes our two annual fundraisers, Paws to Celebrate and Whiskers & Wine. 

 

As well as Off Site Adoption Events and Boutique Pop Ups. 

Opportunities will be added as they are scheduled. 

 

I'll typically send out a recruitment email when looking for assistance and you can always find our upcoming community events flyer in the bi-weekly volunteer newsletter. 

What We Do

For Paws to Celebrate and Whiskers & Wine, I look for volunteers to fill a number of roles:

  • Set up & Break down
  • Raffle Hosts
  • Silent Auction Hosts
  • Bar Servers
  • Wine Table Servers
  • Food Vendor Assistants
  • Auction Check Out 
  • and more!

 

Off Site Adoption Events happen most frequently in the winter months, when we can be outside. They occur about 2-3 times per month in the summer when we have indoor space that we can utilize. 

Typically happen on Saturday mornings/afternoons. Sometimes Sundays. 

I will send out a recruitment email to this group when I need help! I usually transport all materials and animals in a FAR van. There may be an occasion where I'll ask you to use your own car. 

 

These types of events showcase the amazing adoptable animals we have and let us connect with our surrounding communities!

 

In the event where we don't have any dogs we can take, I will make a decision whether the event turns into a tabling/public information booth or cancel it. 


 

Boutique Pop Ups are relatively new and still evolving. They're more frequent in the winter when we attend farmer's markets and other vendor fairs. They showcase a selection of clothing, shoes and accessories from our Pima and/or Carefree boutique. Connecting with the community to show they can Shop for a Cause and learn about our fur friends looking for homes!
