The Cat Attendant position is very important is helping us maintain the health and happiness of the kitties in our care. We have 5 community cat rooms at our BSMC location. Cat Attendant shifts occur everyday, 8-9:30am and 4-5pm. Both shifts consist of cleaning the cat rooms as well as socializing and playing with the cats in each room. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned. Interact with cats using appropriate toys and tools to ensure safe levels of play and minimizing stress Maintain visual observation of cats at all times and report unusual behavior to staff Thoroughly scoop and replenish litter in boxes Refresh water and food, as directed by staff Maintain the physical appearance of the cat rooms, i.e. sweeping and mopping floor, wiping down doors/windows as needed. Reporting any unusual eliminations or injuries to staff immediately. Dog Attendant shifts occur every day of the week; 7:30-9:30am, 12-1:30pm & 4-6pm All shifts include cleaning as well as playing and socializing with the dogs. It is a Resale boutique, not a consignment shop. All items are donated.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned. Process and sort incoming donated items Price items in alliance with training and pricing guidelines provided (if ever unsurehow an item should be priced, set aside or consult a manager) Check each item to ensure that it is suitable for sale in the store. Ensure that items to be sold are clean and in good condition. Make decisions about what items should be sold or passed on. Service all customers with dignity and respect, assist costumers in finding desired items and answering questions Maintain the boutique's physical appearance which may include some clean up of spills or broken items, dusting and cleaning shelves, putting misplaced items back on the right shelves, decorating for holidays or other special events Have the ability to understand, remember and follow instructions and procedures; and the ability to ask questions when appropriate Physical Demands and Work Environment: Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time Occasionally may be required to lift 10-25 lbs at a time, reasonable accommodationsmay be made Conversational noise level indicative of a retail store environment Temperatures can reach high levels in the summer and some boutique activities require standing/working outside
