Volunteer: Dog Enrichment Team

Dog Enrichment Program

Enrichment is all about fun, stimulation, and well-being. This program will focus on giving our dogs opportunities to engage in natural behaviors, reduce stress, and experience joy. Think puzzle toys, scent games, outdoor time, social play, and other creative activities that keep tails wagging and minds engaged. I have created a binder full of fun activities to do with the dogs for some inspiration.

This is a great fit if you enjoy bonding with the dogs in a more relaxed, playful setting and want to help them feel happy, fulfilled, and less stressed during their stay.

This team is open to all trained Dog Attendants who would like to help just that much more in enriching the lives of the FAR dogs during their stay with us.

Shifts are available everyday 10am-5pm. Volunteers will sign up for a day and then they can arrive to complete their enrichment anytime between those hours. You **must** be flexible in where you complete your enrichment, moving around the noon dog shift and adoption consultations. This may mean you have to get creative on where you carry out your activities.
