Monday & Tuesday Adoption Host

Description

Assist adopters in the final step of taking their new fur friend home!

 

Our adoption hosts are important parts of our adoption process. We are adoption by appointment 11am-3pm Mondays and Tuesdays. During that time adoption hosts:

  • Greet potential adopters in a respectful manner
  • Answer questions about the process or specific animals 
  • Aid shelter staff in introducing animals to potential adopters 
  • Ask thoughtful and relevant questions to help make the best match possible
  • Go through and finalize adoption paperwork 

 

Requirements to succeed in this position:

  • Maintaining a positive attitude with the public
  • Organized and polite 
  • Can handle and leash all sizes of dog to and from their suites and play yards 
  • Knowledge of the animals in the shelter
